Hi I'm Ricky C. Parry

I was born and raised in Utah I was born into the Mormon faith and I am a faithful follower.

About Me

Things I have enjoyed doing growing up. My most fond memories were going up in the mountains and camping. sitting around a camp fire talking with my family and enjoying their company. some other activities I enjoy is playing the sport of soccer. I got into it in the closing years of high school. it is one of my favorite pass times. some other things I enjoy is playing video games like most people and watching action movies. another thing that I enjoy is aviation and soon will be attending college to be an Aerospace Engineer.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the faith my parents raised me in the LDS church. Growing up I didn't know much about it I would just hear what they say and smiled and nodded. but as I got around the age of 16 that was when I firmly believed in the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. when I was 12 I got into viewing not the best images. I would do that stuff and I would feel like how could anyone love me. when I make the mistake I am making it and I would repent and keep doing it. but around the time of my 16th birthday I was on a scouting trip. we had a testimony meeting and hearing the testimony of my other scouts and church quorum members. I began to think and really ponder the churches teachings for my own. In these studies I searched pondered and prayed. asking for guidance and for my own testimony. as I did these things I began to feel comfort but the major turning point for me was when we were on that week long trip the last night my bishop looked at me ( I never mention my problems to anyone and was trying my best to look happy.) but my bishop looked at me and said these words "I know you do not feel like your heavenly father loves you. that you feel lost and alone but no matter what we do as long as we repent and truly do so our heavenly father will remember them no more." I read that scripter many times (Isaiah 1:18;Come now,and let us reason together saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.) I red that verse many times but until that night I never believed it. after that night I became a firm believer in our savior Jesus Christ and our lord Heavenly father and in the holy ghost. Since that night I have been a proud and firm believer and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

How I have lived my faith. as a young man I was called to serve as a councilor multiple times in my young men's groups it was always an enjoyable calling to help pick activities and plan projects for the young men in our church ward. some other things that I was a part of because of my faith was the Scouting program. I worked hard to attain the highest award that the scouting program had to offer and that was to become and Eagle scout. the other thing that has made an impact was my Hometeaching families. Once a month a companion and I would go to a family in the wards home visit with them and give them our gospel message. but the thing that impacted me most about that was being able to do service and help the families I taught when they needed my help. those are some ways of how I live my faith.
