Hi I'm Taylor

I grew up in a small town in the west. I am a big sister and I love helping others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town and I loved it!!! I am a college student who is still trying to figure out what I want my major to be. I love spending time with my family and those whom I love. I love being outside, especially in the sunshine. I love riding my horses, the four Wheelers, and being in the mountains. I have learned that music brings peace to the soul. I love to play the piano even though Im not the best at it. It brings me peace whenever I play. I have held many leadership positions in high school including, FFA and student government.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be one. I choose to be a Mormon because I know that the doctrine and principles that are taught are from God. I did not always know this. I believed it but after many trials I knew becuase I had to rely on Christ, I had to rely of the doctrines and principles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know with every fiber of my being that Christ lives and that this is His gospel. He is our best friend and He is ALWAYS there for us. Sometimes we feel alone and that is okay, but we don't need to feel that way. All we have to do is let Christ in our lives and let Him help us. I know that Heavenly Father loves us and He wants the best for us. All we need is faith in Him, and He will never lead us astray. Joseph Smith restored God's gospel, even though he was only fourteen, he was spiritually mature enough to be called by God to lead His church. God is an unchanging god so He will and does call prophets today like He did in the Old and New Testament. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is truth; it is happiness.

How I live my faith

I love to help people in my community, that is why I was the local Chapter FFA president, and a student body representative for the school. I served as a leader for the young women in church in the community. I helped plan physical and spiritual activities to help the youth remember that they are children of our loving Father in Heaven. I am going to serve a mission for the church soon, hoping to give people opportunities to hear about the love Jesus and Heavenly Father have for them. I strive to live all of the teachings in the church, knowing that when I do I am following Jesus Christ.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God is a perfect being. He is not the ruthless, punishable God the world would have us believe; in fact, He is quite the opposite. He is kind, wise and He is the ruler of the universe. He is merciful, kind and loving. He is our dad, He loves us unconditionally. He loves us so much He has allowed us to choose whom we follow: Him our Father, or Satan. He wants us to learn so He gave us that agency. He knows each of us because we are His children. He knows whats best for us so He does ALL that He can, ALL that we allow Him. He wants us to be truly happy. Our Father in Heaven is our Dad! We can turn to Him through faith and pray when we feel alone, sad, or lost. We can talk to Him and tell Him anything and everything. He is there for us because He loves us, because we are His children. Show more Show less
