Hi I'm Sasha

I grew up in New Zealand but now live in Scotland. I was a Rock-Climbing instructor, amateur writer and a diver, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

While I was in New Zealand, I regularly went Rock climbing, Ocean Diving, Snorkeling and spear fishing. I have learned basic piano and attempted writing music (It didn't work out too well). I attempt writing and love spending time just 'daydreaming' about possibilities. I love honing my skills and improving myself. I will often give myself challenges to overcome just so I can push my limits. My greatest fear is not being enough, so I always strive to improve. I have just been called to serve a mission for the church and am so excited to go and serve the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born in the church and all my close family are members, I wasn't really converted to the gospel until a few years ago. I went to church and went through the motions, but I didn't really feel close to my Savior or the spirit. I saw that people around me were seemingly happier than I was, so I took a closer look. I realized that, although I KNEW everything that I had been taught, I hadn't really applied it to my life. I hadn't read the Book Of Mormon all the way through, or said prayers often. So I started putting in effort. By living what I have been taught, and feeling the spirit of the teachings, rather than just hearing the words, I have begun to feel the spirit and to feel closer to Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my moral standards. Daily service is an active part of who I am and I try to give any service that needs to be given. "See a need, fill the need." The gospel provides me with a guide as to how I should act, and WHY I should act that way.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

One word... PRAY! Just ask him. He is our Heavenly Father. He loves us and wants to have that open communication with us, so speak to him. Go on, do it. What's the worst that can happen? (He will answer you.) Show more Show less
