Hi I'm Angela

I'm a tennis player, a pianist, an optimist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student studying to become a speech therapist. I love spending time with friends and family. I am the sixth out of seven children and have four brothers and two sisters. I enjoy being outdoors, playing sports, and listening to good music. I like to stay busy and find fulfillment in working hard. In my free time I love to read, watch movies, or simply take a nap. I love to laugh and can always be cheered up by a good joke or good food. I am an optimist and I believe something good can be found in every situation.

Why I am a Mormon

Nothing in this world makes me happier than my religion. I have grown up in a Mormon home and have come to know for myself that the teachings of this church are true. I have gained my own testimony of these things through prayer, scripture study, and by living the teachings found in the scriptures. I am a Mormon and will always be a Mormon because I know that Christ lives and and loves us. He suffered for our sins, sicknesses, sadnesses, and weaknesses so that we may never feel alone on this Earth. He provided the atonement so that we might become clean through repentance. I use the atonement every day because I know that even with my daily mistakes, I can become clean and more like my Savior, Jesus Christ when I repent. I know that the Book of Mormon and the Bible are the words of God and we can become happy by living their teachings. I know that when a man and a woman are married in the temple, their family can be together forever, even after death. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is led by a current prophet who teaches us what God would have us know. I am a Mormon because being a Mormon makes me happy. The teachings of this church are not restricting; through them I find purpose and fulfillment in my life. My faith in God calms my worries and I know that everything is under his care and direction. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gives me hope for the future, and I am so grateful that I am a member of it.

How I live my faith

I am currently preparing to serve a mission for the LDS church in Mexico. I will dedicated 18 months of my life to God and Jesus Christ by serving and teaching my beliefs to the people in Mexico. I will only get to contact my family through weekly emails and phone calls twice a year. I will not get paid, I will learn a different language, and I will put my current life on hold in order to serve. This is one way that I can show my love and gratitude to God, and I couldn't be more excited!
