Hi I'm Drew

I am from Salt Lake City. I have a bachelors degree in business management, I love the outdoors and sports, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 23 years old and I graduated from college in May 2013. For about the last two years I have been pursuing a career with Enterprise Holdings in the management training program. I played basketball, football, soccer, and baseball while growing up. I also have a passion for doing things in the outdoors including hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, etc. I am an avid fan of Utah Utes athletics, the Red Sox, and the Philadelphia Eagles. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends as often as I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized and confirmed as a member when I was eight years old. Not too long after that we moved away from my grandmother's house. My parents were not active at the time and they are still not active in the church to this day. It was not until I was in junior high school that some of my good friends invited me to start coming to church with them each Sunday. It was during time that I truly gained a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church. Then in college I was listening to Elder Jeffrey R. Holland speak during General Conference and I was overcome with emotion and I was feeling the spirit strongly. I prayed to Heavenly Father to ask if he was telling me to go on a mission and then I opened the Book of Mormon to read and try and receive guidance. The first scripture that I read when I opened up the book was Mosiah 2:17. Again the spirit came to me strongly and I knew God was answering my prayer. This moment was a solidifying moment for my testimony! I know that God loves me, he listens and answers my prayers, and that He lives. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and that through him the Gospel was restored to the Earth. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and through it I have gained a testimony that Jesus Christ lives, He loves me, and He suffered and died for my sins so that I can one day return home to the presence of my Heavenly Father. I love the joy and happiness that I feel from this knowledge. I have seen the amazing impact that the Gospel has on families and I know that families can be together forever through eternity. Brothers and Sisters I testify to you that what I have said is true and I urge you to go and find these things out for yourself! Seek out and ask the missionaries!

How I live my faith

I regularly attend church meetings and I love visiting the temple. I am currently preparing to serve as a full-time missionary. This is something that I am very excited about and I can't wait to go out and serve the Lord and the people in the area I have been called to.
