Hi I'm Garrett

I grew up in New Jersey. I'm tall. I love the outdoors. I love the Army. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attend BYU. I am studying mechanical engineering. I love the outdoors and just being outside. I love being active. I am a member of Army ROTC. I am an Eagle Scout. I am serving a mission in the Florida Fort Lauderdale Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I have known, since I was very young, that the church is true and that this church is the only way that I can come close to God and fulfill His purpose. There is a plan for each of us on this earth, and I am beginning to understand my purpose because I have a close connection with God and His son Jesus Christ. It is only as a Mormon that I can live life to the fullest that God has meant me to live.

How I live my faith

I do all that I can to participate within my church. When I am given a calling I give it my all because God understands and knows what I am actually capable of. I have been able to serve in leadership positons as a young man and learned how to affectively influence the lives of my peers.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

It is through the Atonement of Jesus Christ that we can truly change. There is no other way. Christ suffered for all the sins of the world and felt all of the pain and sorrow that we all experience in this mortal life. We are all imperfect and we have to overcome those imperfections to truly to become all that God would have us be. Jesus Christ was the only one willing and able to make this sacrifice for us. No one else could do it. What He went through is more than we can possibly comprehend but what matters is that we understand that He DID sacrifice for us and that it is through that infinite sacrifice we can change.
