Hi I'm Zachary

I have moved across 5 states. Made amazing friendships everywhere I have gone. I am an adrenaline Junkie. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Colorado, And now good ol Wyoming! I love everywhere I have lived! There is no excuse no matter where you live for saying "there's nothing to do!" Or "The people are unfriendly no one is like me." Every place has its pros and cons. I love Soccer, and most of all hanging with big groups of friends and playing night games or just sitting by a bonfire. I also love to do what my parents would consider "brainless ideas." For example, running from bulls, rolling down hills in inner tubes etc. I like to help people feel included and try to give service where I can. Which is why I am serving a Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS faith and I always went to church with my family and did what I was supposed too. But when I turned 13 I began to have doubts. I would ask myself, "Is the only reason I go and say I believe because of my parents?" I remember when I was 13 a few weeks later I went off alone where no one else was around and prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was true and if this religion that I followed was the right one. What happened next I do not quite know how to put into words. But I felt something glorious! And it was not in my head like many people try to argue, it was deep in my spirit and I knew this was right. But then a few years went by, and at 15 I started to make choices that took me steadily away from the truth I knew. I began to struggle with things for years. And when I turned 18 I realized I was at the age to serve a mission. The next 2 and a half years is what truly impacted my faith just like when I was 12. As I fought to overcome addiction God truly answered my prayers for help. As soon as i would pray for help with a certain area some new friend would come along or move in that I KNOW was a answer from God. So many times this has happened and I know it could not all be coincidence. The Spirit has guided me in my life and I have felt God's love, and the love of his son. So this my friends, is why I am a mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith how Christ would want me to live it. Am I always perfect? No definitely not. But the end goal is to always be growing closer to Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. So I try to read my scriptures daily, when I do it regularly it definitely makes a difference! This is the same with prayer. I pray as though he is right beside me. I try to watch wholesome movies and stay away from media that takes away from the spirit. I strive to have clean language and to show my faith in this gospel by my actions. I used to be what many would call a "Sunday Mormon" but I want to be better than that. I pay my 10% tithing. Most importantly I try to serve my fellow men. When my friends are going through rough times I try to talk to them and do whatever I can to help, even those who I am not close to I try to let them know I am always there, And i mean it. I was not always this way but dedication to be better pays off! I know I will still fall short at times, but that is the end goal to always improve!
