Hi I'm Wilder

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I like creating stories. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I've always enjoyed stories. I'm not particularly good at writing them, or showing them to others in any fashion. But Like putting stories to things. walking home from school, or work, I would always be thinking about some new thing that I could apply to a story that I was working on. I guess that you could say that I'm a daydreamer.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always been a Mormon. That is to say my parents were Mormon so ever since I was born I was just doing as I was told. For a very long time I never really thought about the church. It was just something that I did, and it didn't have much of an Impact. My father died when I was at a young age, and this caused somewhat of a downward spiral for me. I became very critical of the church. I would look for comfort and guidance, I would find none, I would get angry. I would find new questions, I'd look again, I'd find nothing again... and lather, rinse, and repeat. It was a very long time until I realized that this was really all my fault. I wasn't doing all that I could. I would go halfway and say nothing can be gained by going further. Talking with people about it now, some say that it was fear that I was right. some say that it was pride, that I wasn't willing to humble myself. But the truth is that I was just childish and lazy. I wanted the reward, But didn't want to do the work, And then I got upset when I didn't get the reward. I was casual about my beliefs. But I know now that the spirit is sincere, and you can only connect by being sincere.

How I live my faith

Growing up in the Church I've done many service projects with the youth of my local ward and stake. I'm currently the ward membership clerk. Which means that I help keep the records of the members in my ward accurate, add new members, and send out records when members move away. But very shortly I'll be leaving to serve a full time mission.
