Hi I'm Jentree

I grew up in Pleasant Grove, Utah. I'm an only child. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a nerd and I love going to school! I am an honors student and I am going to college and I'm working on going into the medical field because I have always wanted to help others in my career. I love playing sports with my friends and family, especially softball, basketball, and volleyball, and it helps that I am tall. My favorite sports teams are The Boston Red Sox, The L.A. Angels, The Utah Jazz, The San Francisco 49ers, and the Green Bay Packers. I am a dancer and I do both Ballroom and Irish dancing because it is a great and fun way to exercise. I also sing because it makes me feel happy, and it also draws me closer to the spirit with the songs that I sing. I also play the violin, piano, and guitar. Music truly inspires me to want to do more!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this is the true church. When I was a young member of the church, I started to wonder why there were so many different church out in the world. I also wondered why we had the Book of Mormon and no other religion had it. I wasn't truly converted to the gospel until I got a better knowledge and understanding, and that happened the first time that I actually took time and I studied the Book of Mormon, not just read it. The Book of Mormon is the keystone to our religion. It helps give us additional instructions that are not found in the Bible. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that all of the events that occurred in it are true and that the people teaching of the gospel were living prophets of God. I know that this is his true church and that Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know, without a doubt that Heavenly Father has created a plan, that we would be tested, especially in these latter days, so that we may return back to his presence, and be kings and queens. I know that Heavenly Father loves each on of his children, and he wants to be with all of us once again.

How I live my faith

I have been called to be the assistant camp director over the Young Women's group, which is young women from ages 12-18. I love getting to work with them so they can pass off certain activities that will help them later in life. I have also been called to be Personal Progress Coordinator. So I help the girls with the books that are given to the girls. The program helps the girl learn the importance of Faith, Divine Nature, Individual Worth, Knowledge, Choice and Accountability, Good Works, Integrity, and Virtue. It helps the girls get a better understanding of their importance here on the earth, and also an understanding of why we are here and setting the goal to return back to our Heavenly Father.
