Hi I'm Terry L Niederhauser

I was raised in Logan, Utah. I am retired after teaching for 36 years in the Seminaries and Institutes for the LDS Church.

About Me

I am 74 years old and happily married and happily retired after teaching for 36 years. I enjoy reading historical novels, the Scriptures and autobiographies. My wife and I enjoy visiting with our 8 children and 21 grandchildren. We also enjoy going to BYU football games in Fall. All of our children are married and our oldest grandson is a missionary for our Church. I am physically active and run about 12 miles per week.

Why I am a Mormon

My five brothers and sisters and I were raised in a Latter-day Saint home by honest, hard-working parents. We were taught the importance of church attendance and being and doing good. I was not acquainted with the scriptures but as a child I read a children’s book about Jesus and it made me feel good. I knew that Jesus was real. I read the Book of Mormon for the first time when I was 16 and I felt a calm peace as I began to read and I knew it was true. I suppose I can say that I was born with testimony. Even though I have made many mistakes in my life, I have NEVER doubted the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, the other scriptures or the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know he is my Savior and Redeemer and that He and my Heavenly Father know me and love me.

How I live my faith

My wife and I are currently teaching adult Sunday school. We have recently been called as full time missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We will begin our mission 25 May of 2015. We will serve as "stay at home" missionaries working with members and leaders of our Church in this area. As a young man I served as a missionary in The Netherlands and Belgium for 2 1/2 years. Since our retirement my wife and I have served as missionaries in India and Germany working mainly with young adult members of our Church.
