Hi I'm Tiana

I'm serving a mission in Independence, Missouri :) I have a HUGE adopted family! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a true optimist at heart, and I hope to be a math teacher in the future! I have a HUGE family (8 adopted sisters from around the world! +4 of my parents' biological children), and I absolutely love them to death... to the afterlife! Some things I enjoy: listening to music, mostly indie-alternative-acoustic and orchestral/choir stuff; playing cello and guitar; speaking Spanish (aun que no hablo muy bien), and reading thought-provoking articles on the internet.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I feel so much solace knowing our Savior, Jesus Christ, can make ALL things right again through the Atonement. I am a Mormon, because I believe in change. Christ's gospel is all about changing, improving, and living a wholesome, purposeful life. I am a Mormon, because I love my family. Although I may not ever know my biological family, I know that I am sealed to my eternal family, which is a part of God's eternal family as we are all children of Him, and I'll be able to meet them again someday.

How I live my faith

I'm not a perfect Mormon, but I try everyday to better my relationship with God. I strive to serve others, and make them feel happy, even if it's a minute difference. I live my faith through my thoughts and actions. I work everyday to keep my mind open and accepting, and I aim at performing at least one random act of kindness each day. Sometimes I make cookies, other days, I leave notes of gratitude :)

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes I do! We believe that God "is the same yesterday, today, and forever" (1 Nephi 10:18). He loves us unconditionally and perfectly, beyond our comprehension. Because He wants us so much to return back in His presence, he provides guidance to all of us through his living prophets today, just like He did for the Israelites in the Holy Bible. Thomas S. Monson is our prophet today, and he serves as a mouthpiece for God, giving us revelation and counsel relevant to our day. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

The purpose of life is to be happy, and prepare ourselves to meet God! "Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy" (2 Nephi 2:25). We are here to experience and enjoy! We are divine, and God wants us to return back to Him, that's why He created a plan for us. This plan is centered on Jesus Christ. If we follow Jesus Christ during this life, we will be happy.
