Hi I'm Zoe

I was born and raised in Utah, I love playing soccer, my brothers are my two best friends, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I've played soccer since I was 4 and absolutely love it. I had a dream since I was little to play soccer in college, but due to multiple knee injuries I decided not to play. This allowed me to focus more on my schooling. I now have one year of college under my belt. I really want to become a physical therapist. As I was rehabbing my knee I knew that that's what I wanted to do. I wanted to help people get back to doing what they love after an injury. Although I'm now 19, I am definitely still a kid at heart. I love going to Disneyland, the zoo, the aquarium, and any other place that takes me back to the good old days.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the gospel. My parents took me to church when I was little, but when I was 8 years old they gave me the option to be baptized if that's what I wanted for myself. I remember really thinking about whether I should be baptized or not. I looked back on my time at church and realized there was something good there. I had made so many friends and when I was at church I felt very warm inside and happy. It has now been 11 years since I was baptized and I've never second guessed my decision. I still feel that warm and happy feeling at church. I have no idea where I would be or who I would be without this church and gospel in my lifet. I know without a doubt that this is the true church, but gaining my testimony, or finding out for myself this is the true church, wasn't an easy process. Everything I was taught I prayed about to know whether it was true. I tested the commandments such as tithing, keeping the Sabbath day holy, and the word of wisdom. Each time I received the answer that what I was doing was what the Lord wanted me to be doing. The gospel gives my life purpose and direction.

How I live my faith

We have a motto in my house "teach through your example". I'm not really one to speak my mind very often. I'm very quiet and reserved, but through my example I've been able to have conversations and experiences with those not of the LDS faith. Our standards and beliefs set us apart from the rest of the world. When we live what we believe, people are going to notice and most likely ask "why?'. I've had multiple callings in the LDS church. I've tried my hardest to fulfill those callings to the best of my abilities. Through those callings I was able to learn so much about myself and those who I was serving. The newest calling I've been given is to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I could not be more excited to be able to take this wonderful gospel to the people of Cambodia. I'm looking forward to the many experiences and opportunities I will have there to share my beliefs and faith.
