Hi I'm Moriah Spainhower

I grew up in Sunny St. George Utah. I have been called to serve in the Sydney Australia North Mission. Im a Mormon.

About Me

Im the youngest of 5 kids in my family. Being the youngest is the single greatest thing ever because I have 4 amazing examples to look up to. I'm an undeclared major just finishing up my freshman year of college at Southern Utah University. I have some time to decide what major I'm going to look into because I am leaving in a month to serve a mission. I have been called to labor in Sydney Australia and I couldn't be more honored and thrilled. The gospel is the truest thing I know, so why not share it! I love doing anything outdoors. I love to play tennis. I love the beach and I love to travel to new places (doesn't everyone?) I love snow-cones, parks and rec, and T-shirts with pockets.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is for everyone. I have found it to be true for myself. Time and time again its proved to be the only constant thing on this ever changing planet. My Savior and Heavenly Father have always been there for me and will continue to forever be. The Gospel has brought me the truest form of happiness and one day I hope to achieve eternal joy. If I, an imperfect being, deserve this utter happiness then so do others. Thats why I am serving a mission. I am going to Sydney Australia to spread the good news of the Gospel. Im going to proclaim it from the housetops because its the least i can do to repay Him. My Savior, Jesus Christ lived and died for me. Heavenly Father wants all of His children to return to him so I am going to help accomplish that in the small way I can.The gospel helps me infinitely in my everyday life and for that I am entirely eternally grateful.

How I live my faith

Currently I am in a singles ward for young adults. We are all college students and I love it. Everything is so personal and when people share their testimonies we can all relate to each other as we are probably going through the same thing. Visiting teaching is awesome. I visit girls in my ward and give them a spiritual thought and just make sure they're doing okay. This gospel is very family oriented and emphasizes a lot on charity and love. Showing love for each other is so important as we all grow closer to The Savior and each other. As I go about my life I hope I am a light or example to others as someone who wants to live like Jesus did-and does live today.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Moriah Spainhower
The Holy Ghost is a comforter. He also can answer prayers and help us make decisions. Many times I have felt promptings that have helped me know what to do. He is a constant companion I always want with me as I make choices. In my everyday life I want to reflect behavior that keeps Him with me. There is an assurance of never being alone when the Holy ghost is with me. We receive this great blessing after being baptized when we are confirmed. Listening to the Spirit will give comfort and guidance. You can recognize feelings and promptings in your mind and in your heart. D & C 8: 2-3 Show more Show less
