Hi I'm Ellie

I'm an art student who will soon be serving as a missionary in Little Rock, Arkansas. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm an art student at university right now. One day I hope to illustrate children's books - I personally feel very passionate about the power storytelling has in our lives. The arts are a major part of my life; in addition to art, I love to sing. I love to learn and have especially enjoyed Italian and American Sign Language, dabbling in astronomy, and literature. I've been privileged to have a wonderful family that supports me. I'm soon going to be serving mission in Arkansas, and the thought of sharing what makes me joyful with others is an exquisite feeling.

Why I am a Mormon

The more I've studied the doctrines provided, the more the gospel makes sense. To me, there is no denying the truth of it, only further confirmation and discovery that it is the truth. I firmly believe that everything in the world around us is a testament that there is a higher power. This beautiful world and these beautiful bodies we have couldn't just happen, and nothing could be more true to me that this is all done for us because our Heavenly Father loves us. I am further converted everyday to the truth that is His gospel. He truly cares for each and every one of us, and I am so grateful that I know. I know Jesus Christ our Savior lives. I know that Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us and cares for us deeper than we could ever know. I know that His way is the only way we can have not only happiness, but joy. I feel his love all around me, and my heart further feels that I know He is real.

How I live my faith

One of the biggest ways I live my faith is through my artwork. Through it, I gain a greater appreciation, awareness, and understanding at the beautiful world that has been created for us. Art is not just a creative outlet or a way to express myself - it is a sacred way I can grow closer to my Heavenly Father by striving to honor the beauty of what has been made specifically for His children. I also have marvelous examples through my parents and siblings on how to live the gospel. Family is sacred and precious, and I have loved learning from all of them. They have taught me how to better be a disciple of Christ, mores than I ever could have done on my own. They have taught me how to love, how to be patient, how to be confident in who I am, and how to be aware of others around me and their needs. My mother and father especially have thought me the value of displaying unconditional love. Through their examples I hope to emulate Christ.
