Hi I'm Kirsti

I'm a rancher's daughter. I love my large family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the eighth of eleven children in my family, and I wouldn't trade for a smaller family in a million years! I love riding horses, reading, playing volleyball, and spending time with my family. I've been to two years of college, and yet, still don't know what I want to do with my life, other than that one day I want to be a wife and mother. Currently, I'm preparing to serve an 18 month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I've spent hours on end in numerous fire stations doing ride-alongs, and I admire and respect firefighters and EMS personnel for all they do for their communities. I like trying new things and broadening the way I see other people and the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, and was baptized a member at the age of eight. I had always believed that what my parents taught me and what I learned in church was true, but it took a while for me to really want to find out for myself. It was probably my later years in high school, and even the beginning parts of college before I started to question and study for myself the things I'd been taught. It was then that I really came to know that the principles I had been taught were true. I in no way have a perfect testimony, I don't claim to, and I never will. There's so much I don't know and that I still have questions about. However, I DO know for myself that we have a Father in Heaven who loves us more than we'll ever be able to comprehend in this life. He loves us so much that He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to this earth to suffer and die for us--all so we can return to live with Him again. Because of Christ's sacrifice for us, I know that we can change and become better people, and eventually return to live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again.

How I live my faith

I LOVE to serve other people; I love the way it makes them feel, and in turn the way that makes me feel. I've done a few different things in the church, from working with and being a leader for other young women my age to planning activities for our church group. No matter what assignment I have in my church, though, I think the most important way ANYONE can live their faith, is to live as Christ did by serving those around them in whatever way they can.
