Hi I'm Taylor

I'm Taylor. I am the oldest of 4 kids, love Ultimate Frisbee, love the outdoors, love music and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Taylor. I oldest of 4 siblings and I have 3 younger sisters. I have many hobbies including Ultimate Frisbee, hiking, fishing, music, biking, and computer programming. I love to learn and will attend a local university after my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents are members of the LDS church, and sometimes people assume I am a Mormon simply because my parents are. While I have gained strength from their testimonies I have received many personal assurances of the divinity and truth of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Daily study of the Book of Mormon and words of modern-day prophets help me every day to choose the right and resist temptation. Attending the temple brings me so much peace and calm and helps me make difficult decisions and find solutions to my problems: both temporal and spiritual. I know that because of Jesus Christ I can be forgiven of my sins and have all guilt erased. It is such a comfort. Having faith in Jesus Christ helps me overcome my fears and obtain my goals. I am a Mormon because I know that Christ leads the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and that living the commandments and principles taught in the LDS church always brings me happiness and peace.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving a full time mission. I received my call to the Japan, Sendai mission and reported to the MTC in July to learn how to teach the gospel and how to speak Japanese, and help others come unto Christ. In previous church assignments I have had the privilege to serve and lead several youth groups. My dad and I go to the homes of 2 families a month and teach them about the gospel.

What is being a Mormon like?

Taylor
Being a Mormon is amazing. It has taught me to look outside myself and find joy in serving others. The commandments and guidelines seem restrictive, but are truly enabling and keep me away from harmful and addictive behaviors. Being a Mormon has brought my family closer together. Show more Show less
