Hi I'm Emma

I'm a redhead, a nursing student, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a college student at Brigham Young University. Last year I was accepted into the nursing program there and I am so excited to go forward after the next two years to work as a nurse. I love all of the friends that I have made in the program and I am so excited for the opportunities that it has opened up to me. I have always loved music and I often take the time to sing or play the guitar or ukulele when I need to relax. I recently received my mission call and am currently preparing to head out to the Philippines next month. I love this gospel and I am so grateful for its comfort in my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I honestly believe that this is our Heavenly Father's true church here on earth. I have seen some of my most difficult challenges eased by this beautiful gospel. Many times my questions have been answered profoundly by scriptures or messages given by our living prophets. It has been so amazing to see just how comforting the church can be, especially during times of loss and grief. What a beautiful thing it is to know that life does not end with death! I am a Mormon because I have truly felt the love from God and from our elder brother, Jesus Christ, in many aspects of my life and I know with a surety that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to serve wherever I can. This past semester at BYU I had the opportunity to work in a surgical rehab center for older adults. I loved having the opportunity to truly connect with others and serve them the way I feel Christ serves me each and every day. I have had the opportunity to serve in many callings in the church and I am thankful for the influences each of them has had on me. They have helped me to connect with others by being a leader and friend and taught me what true service is really about.
