Hi I'm Christy

I was raised by goodly parents in Utah. I served the Lord in Micronesia. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Although I am much older than a traditional newlywed, I am a newly married wife who loves being able to create and care for a Christ-centered home. I love to cook, bake, read, write, crochet, enjoy the outdoors, and do ANYTHING with my chivalrous and darling husband. I have traveled to Micronesia, Guam, France, South Africa and several adventures inside the U.S! I love discovering new things about this beautiful universe God has created for us! I love good, wholesome movies and music!

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into this faith, I followed the commandments because my parents "told me to" and didn't begin to build my own faith and convictions until my late teen years. As I felt Heavenly Father guide me to make good decisions in my life - including serving a full-time mission for my church - I have grown to love Heavenly Father, love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and love the Holy Ghost. I have struggled as a single woman for many years, wishing to be married and feeling that some failing in myself kept me from being married. However, as I dedicated myself to being the best disciple of Jesus Christ I could be, doing the best to follow Christ and not worrying about what I lacked, I found that my life experiences were perfect for my growth and development and have given me a compassionate soul and a loving heart. When I was guided to meet my husband, the blessings and love we share overwhelm every expectation I had. Only Heavenly Father could prepare such a perfect man for me. I love Heavenly Father, I love Jesus Christ, I love the Gospel of Christ, I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that following the Savior's plan for me is the surest way to joy and success in this life. I know that I am loved and known personally by my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

As a single sister, I had previously established a routine of prayer, scripture study and serving in the temple, so I understand the importance of these activities for providing a peaceful home. As a couple, my husband and I study and discuss scriptures daily, we pray morning, night and during the day (and at meal times), we serve each other and others and try to love as Christ did. We serve in the congregation/ward and with the missionaries. We strive to always share the love of Christ through service, friendship and food! I have been able to serve all ages in my previous communities; I have worked with children, youth, women's organization and most recently have been to a youth camp for young women (teenage). I have just been assigned to work with youth in my new town and am so excited to serve them and learn how I can best help them grow and be successful in life. I also love working with the full-time missionaries in my community, teaching people about Christ and giving service where I can.
