Hi I'm Kaitlynn

I'm a simple girl from Utah. I go to school at Utah State University studying history. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and a big nerd. I love comics, Harry Potter, Avatar, Percy Jackson, LOTR, Star Wars, basically anything that you might find at Comic Con... except anime. I just can't do anime. My favorite super heroes are Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Spider-Man, in case you were wondering. I love dancing and have been training since I was 2 and competing since age 6. Although I have stopped dancing, I still am very passionate about it. I sing, play guitar, and the piano... As a fair warning, I do not claim proficiency in either of those three areas. I have lived in Utah my whole life, but I LOVE to travel! I am hoping to explore the world and adventure in the near future. I love the outdoors and being in nature; snowboarding, wakeboarding, archery, rock climbing, hiking, you name it. I am also a history buff as well. I love learning about the past and all of God's children throughout time. That's why I am a history major at Utah State. I am a big fan of I am currently serving a mission in Portland, Oregon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not because my parents raised my in the church and indoctrinated me, not because I grew up in Utah and was "sheltered". I am a Mormon because I choose to be. Sure, I was raised in the church, but there is more to that statement than what words on a screen convey. There comes a point in all of our lives where we must decide who we are, and what we stand for. We must look at our souls and decide for ourselves who we want to become. This happened for me at a relatively young age. My family went though a few years of very tumultuous hardships. I was left in a period of despair, loneliness, and complete darkness. With the weight of the world bringing me down, I found myself on my knees. On my knees with tears streaming down my face, my heart broken, and my soul burdened, I prayed for a divine hand to lift me up. In that darkness I found a light. I found my Savior. That night changed my life forever. I cannot deny the things which I have felt and have been taught throughout the years. It is though this gospel I found solace from the storm. Because of Christ I can stand today and know that everything will work out. Father has a plan for me. Only through our Brother, our Savior, even our Lord Jesus Christ we are saved. Christ's love and His Atonement make everything possible. In His arms we can find peace and happiness. There is no other way. God loves me. God loves you. He is out Heavenly Father and He is beckoning us to follow His son. He wants us to return to Him and be embraced in the arms of His eternal love. Pray my friends. Get down on your knees and pray until you can't pray anymore. I promise you our Father will answer. You will feel of His love. You can know for yourself that this gospel is true too. Have faith. Take Courage. It doesn't matter how far you think you have wandered or how dark your life seems to be. Through Christ EVERYTHING is made right. Believe in Christ. Follow Christ. Come unto Christ.

How I live my faith

I have been a member my whole life. Born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. Throughout my life I have had the opportunity to serve in different positions of the Young Women's Program. That means I was a leader of girls my age and helped out with activities, camps, service projects, planning, and other various tasks to help bring them unto Christ though love and friendship. In school I live my faith by following Christ's example and living the way He wants me to live, not how the world says I should live. I am currently on a mission in Portland, Oregon inviting all of God's children to come unto Christ and be made whole. Through Christ we can find pure happiness.
