Hi I'm Erika Hixon

From Texas. Finished my freshman year at BYU and now look forward to serving as a missionary in Independence Missouri.

About Me

I was born in California and raised in Texas. I've always loved to sing and dance! I am a student at BYU, but now will be serving a full time mission in Independence, Missouri Visitor's Center!

Why I am a Mormon

I've chosen to be a member of this church by living it's gospel throughout my life, and choosing to get baptized and make covenants with God. Without prayer and the Holy Ghost to confirm the truthfulness of this gospel I would not have the testimony and faith in Christ that I have today. I know that this church is true, and that the Book of Mormon is divinely inspired by God- because it is His word. This gospel is a message of happiness and an indicator of truth. Christ suffered for our sins so that we could be made clean through the Atonement and repentance, which I am eternally grateful for. I continue to uphold the commandments and direction of our prophets and leaders because it is God's command and will. By living righteously and in purity and charity, I honor God and show my willingness to serve Him and come unto Christ, who is the only way by which we can return to our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

In my freshman ward at college, I got to greet people as they came to class, and also serve others by being on an "activities committee".
