Hi I'm Kathy Rigby

I grew up in a Military family. I absolutely loved meeting new people and learning about new places and cultures. I am a Mormon😃

About Me

I was born in Utah and raised in the Military. Loved the experiences and education that this provided me and my family. I was also blessed to serve a mission in Japan. I enjoy working with children and watching them learn. I also love to garden, craft and sew. Being creative has always been a part of my life, I have a wonderful family, four children and a granddaughter. We also enjoy traveling and visiting family and friends in various places throughout the country.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon Church. However as I grew up and learned about all the many cultures and religions in the world I became curious. So I began to investigate the differences for myself. By so doing, I discovered for myself that The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints is the church I believe to be true. I know that many of the worlds religions have similarities because they all have fragments of truth within their teachings. However, I know that the Lord restored the correct and true Priesthood Authority to Joseph Smith. it is through that Priesthood Authority that our Savior Jesus Christ directs His Church today. I realize that to some it is a strange story/concept to believe that after hundreds of years with no prophets or revelation that God should speak to a 14 year old boy. It is a true fact that the true gospel of Jesus Christ complete with the correct priesthood authority has been restored to the earth. I have a testimony of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ in its entirety, including living prophets and current revelation. The Lord communicates daily with all who ask in faith if these things are true. I would recommend reading the scriptures ( BIBLE & BOOK OF MORMON) together with fasting, pondering and prayer. Our Father in Heaven will lead you to a life of happiness and light if you ask in earnest.

How I live my faith

I am away from all of my children, so keeping busy with church activities is my life. In our ward I am one of the leaders of our young women youth group. This includes young ladies aging from 12-18 years of age. It's a great job to have for many reasons. We work together with these girls to teach skills and values that are necessary in daily living as well as raising future families. There are great activities such as girls' camp in the summers, youth conferences, dances, combined activities with other youth groups in the area, service projects, etc. I also spend quite a bit of time helping the full time missionaries from our church who are serving in my area. It's fun to go with them to met new people and share my testimony of Jesus Christ, His love and sacrifice for us.
