Hi I'm Drew

I grew up in Whittier, CA. I love being a husband and a father. I love small towns. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am married to a marvelous woman. I have 6 wonderful children. I love being a husband, uncle, father, step-dad and a son. I am outgoing but I won't talk to trees. I love family get-togethers. I enjoy baseball and American football. I have been involved in scouting. I played sports in high school and college. I love woodworking and at one time I was a professional woodworker. I work on the customer side of the data processing industry. I love being an American and I love American history.

Why I am a Mormon

As I read the Gospels (found in the New Testament in the Bible) as a teenager and learned of the life of the Savior, I recognized the Savior's actions and His teachings in the Christian Character of the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I met. I found it easier to live as Jesus did by being around these people. They help me be a better son of God, man, husband, father, son, brother and friend. I love the Savior and find that the Church helps me express that love. I love the Gospel and find that the Church helps me to understand the order and path that Heavenly Father has set for his children - which are you and me. I learned of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Restoration of His Church by reading The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ, testing those truths by living them and asking for a spiritual confirmation through prayer. Heavenly Father reached into my life and told me that this was true and has since richly blessed my life with purpose and a wonderful eternal marriage and family. I testify to you that if you read the Book of Mormon and ask Heavenly Father if it is true, with a sincere heart, He will tell you that it is. And He will tell you in a way that you will know it is Him speaking to you.

How I live my faith

I am trying to live my life in a way that I know Heavenly Father would approve of. I am trying really hard at getting really good at repenting. I love serving my family and others and have found that I feel best when I am serving others.

What do Mormons believe about family?

I believe that Heavenly Father instituted marriage and family and commanded "What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." Marriages are eternal and, just as we are Heavenly Father's children and are His, the gifts He has given us, our children, will be ours. Our families will be ours because of the atonement and sacrifice of Jesus Christ and conditioned on our obedience to Heavenly Father's laws and ordinances. Show more Show less
