Hi I'm Quinn

I grew up in California near Lake Tahoe. I enjoy writing, biking, and playing video games. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like video games, anime, reading, writing, and biking. I was on my school's Nordic Ski team for 2 years and was also in choir for 3 years. My parents are divorced and my dad remarried. I worked as a cashier at Kmart for about a year. I was also the Senior Patrol Leader in my scout troop for almost a year as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church but did not really believe if it was true until my high school years. I began reading the Book of Mormon and going to early morning church classes held before school. I began to notice that my life was quickly improving and providing me a lot of joy. I realized that I looked forward to going to church and the early morning classes before school. I attributed the joy I would feel to my experiences I had while reading the Book of Mormon, Bible, and going to church. I know through experience that the gospel of Jesus Christ can and will improve our lives. As we read from the Bible and the Book of Mormon we can learn what God has in plan for us and what we need to do to make both God, and us happy. The gospel has the ability to pull us out of the deepest despair as long as we follow the commandments of God and live the way the Jesus lived and taught.

How I live my faith

I have been heavily involved my scout troop that's supported by our church and have also been in many leadership roles in the church. On Sundays I go with an older adult from my church and we stop by members' houses to check up on them and give them a spiritual thought.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon temples? What goes on in Mormon temples?

The temple is the House of God. It is a beautiful place where we go to learn more about his plan for us. Since the temple is the House of God, we treat it with respect and dignity. The temple is sacred, we expect a specific level of worthiness to enter into it as a way to ensure and keep the sanctity of the building and the ordinances done in it. Show more Show less
