Hi I'm Andy

I grew up in the "frozen north", Alaska. I love the outdoors, snowmachines, hockey, rock, football, and motorcycles. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors, and living in Alaska, there is definitely a lot to do. I am a member of a family of 5, and I am the middle child. I love motorized sports, and snow. I have graduated High School, and am currently serving a mission in Ogden, Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

As a younger child, I mostly took the gospel for granted, and casually attended church, mostly to see my friends. Over time, however, I realize that my testimony was waning, and that I needed to find out for myself if the gospel was true. In the course of this, I learned that the gospel is indeed true, and that the Savior's everlasting atonement was, in fact, for me.

How I live my faith

Before I transferred to the local young single adult branch, I was the group leader in my 16-17 y.o. young men's class. I have also been the secretary, and I love planning campouts, and other various activities.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Andy
Joseph Smith was a great man, but we in no way worship him. We see him the same as any other prophet. I can see how some MAY think that we do, but we as a church are just so thankful for him sacrificing his time, family, and even life, so we can live the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. God, the Eternal Father, and his Son, Jesus Christ, are who we worship. We know that because of Jesus Christ's atonement, we can be cleansed of sin. Show more Show less
