Hi I'm Seth Carroll

I love music, I love sports, I love everything outdoors, and I love being a Mormon!

About Me

I'm currently serving a mission in Cleveland, Ohio. When I was in first grade I broke both of my arms at the same time while trying to be spiderman and my left arm is permanently a little crooked now. I healed pretty quick but during my second grade year my brother accidentally pushed me off a trampoline and I broke my right arm again. Since then I haven't had and more broken bones or stitches or anything like that. One of my favorite things to do is run, pretty weird right? A good pick-up game of basketball, soccer, baseball, or really anything will always catch my interest. I also love to sing! My favorite genre is probably A Capella if that counts. I love to go rock climbing or hiking or camping or being outdoors in general. A good camping trip should last at least a week and you should be caked in dirt by the end of it. I'm an Eagle Scout. Looking to be an engineer of some kind when I grow up but the thing is, I don't plan on growing up any time soon!

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and because of that I was baptized when I was only eight. As the years have progressed since then, I've had lots of time to either fall away from the faith or increase my faith. I have chosen the path to increase it and that choice has led to so many blessings in my life. Some of the blessings are disguised as hard times but working through them with the assistance of Jesus Christ I can come out better and ready for more. Like the popular saying goes, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." How true that is in spiritual things. I have struggled in the past as everyone has with my own personal trials one of which included forgiving myself after I have repented. I suffered that particular trial for many years but one day I prayed for the ability to forgive myself and that night during my personal scripture study I read a scripture that essentially said, "I, the Lord, have seen your sacrifices in my sake and will remember your sins no more." Through little experiences like these I have developed a great appreciation for Jesus Christ and for the Gospel that he created for us to live by. I know that He lives today and that I can rely on Him to help me become more like Him. I know that Heavenly Father truly has a plan for each and every one of us, His children.

How I live my faith

As of June 2015 I am serving a two year mission (that means I finish in June 2017) in the Cleveland, Ohio area. This means that I am one of those guys in a white shirt and tie that walks/bikes around town and knocks on doors all day. I get the opportunity, because of this, to share the Mormon beliefs with everyone I see. This is currently my unpaid full time job and I am loving it! As a Mormon I do my best to keep the Commandments and be an, "example of the believers" -1 Timothy 4:12
