Hi I'm Aubrey

Idaho Falls, Idaho is my hometown. I left my family, friends, and schooling to serve The Lord for 18 months. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 5' 6" ball of energy and fun. I love being involved and being happy. Along with my involvement, I love to play volleyball so much and I have always enjoyed dancing. Those two activities are my passion when it comes to sports. In the arts, I used to play the violin until life got the best of me, but I still enjoy picking it up and playing it. I am an avid ukulele player who is self-taught and absolutely in love with it. I plan to become a Dental Hygienist because the mouth is so intriguing to me! I am a full-time missionary serving in Boston Massachusetts! (Pretty much the coolest place on earth!)

Why I am a Mormon

Back in 2005, when I was 10 years old, I began to wonder if I had a testimony of my own or if I was relying on my parent's knowledge and faith in the church. I loved to go to church because of the feelings I recieved when I was there and I loved the fun I would have, but I still wondered if this really was the true church like Joseph Smith did. So I confronted my parents about my concerns. I asked if they thought I had a testimony of my own or if I was purely relying and using theirs. They both told me to pray to Heavenly Father and ask him about my concerns. So I did exactly that. I prayed more sincere than ever before. I asked him to help me know if this church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true. Within the next week, my answer came clear as day. I knew without a shadow of a doubt that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true. I knew it. From that day on, I knew that I had a purpose here on this earth that I needed to fulfill. When I received my mission call, it was obvious that part of my duty here on earth is to go and be a light in somebody's life in the Massachusetts Boston Mission. I love this church because it provides me with comforting knowledge of my existence and gives me hope for the afterlife.

How I live my faith

Back at home, I was a primary teacher for the 7 year old children who were preparing to get baptized. I loved that calling because I was able to see many children advance into accountable members of the church. I really enjoyed the friendships I built while going to church. It's always been a place for me to branch out and meet new people and to bond with those who I already know.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Aubrey
The Book of Mormon is another book of scripture such as the Bible. It was given to us through ancient prophets and contains truth and light for everyone. The stories are similar to those in the Bible in that they are true and provide knowledge for all who read it. Because the Bible, specifically the New Testament, is a record of Jesus Christ, we use the Book of Mormon as another book of scripture to testify of Jesus Christ and his life. Because of ancient prophets and their faithfulness to the Lord, we are able to have this book and we are able to learn from its teachings, the teachings of Jesus Christ, and we are able to receive a detailed history. Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Aubrey
We believe in this church that baptism is one of the most important steps taken to be able to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again. Baptism is a small, but super important step to take that can and will benefit those who take advantage of it. Show more Show less
