Hi I'm LaRae

I have a story about a Mormon girl's crazy adventures. I love making new friends. I want to hear your story, too. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a competitive figure skater, artist, dancer, musician, actress, reader, active recreation addict, student council member, scholarly college student, eldest sister of eight siblings, party animal, adventurer, food connoisseur, preschool and ice skating teacher, employed playing Disney princesses, therapist in training, future non-profit business leader, friend, missionary, appreciator of cultures, lover of people, and Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's restored gospel on the earth today and the most Christ-Centered organization on the face of the planet. (See Helaman 5:12 in the Book of Mormon.) My Mormon religion has brought more joy to my life than anything else, and I want to share the happiness it gives with everyone. (See 2 Nephi 2:25 in the Book of Mormon.) The Book of Mormon is the word of God, and it teaches me eternally correct principles every morning as I feast upon its doctrine. (See 2 Nephi 32:3 in The Book of Mormon.) The standards given by the Mormon faith encourage me to become a productive member of society and have caused me to lead a successful life. (See the LDS pamphlet "For the Strength of Youth.") I know that Jesus Christ allows His light to shine through others, and this gospel is a tool to brighten the world. (See Ether 6:3 in the Book of Mormon.) I love people, individuals with extraordinary divine potential, and know that God loves His children on matter what, and I know that He has created a plan for His children to return to live with Him as exalted beings in kingdoms of glory. (See Doctrine and Covenants 18:10 and John 3:16.) I know that Christ has atoned for the sins of all mankind, so we can turn to Him for redemption from our sins and eternal peace. (Doctrine and Covenants 18:11-13 and Moroni 10:32 in the Book of Mormon) I know that Joseph Smith restored the church when God the Father and His Son appeared to Joseph in the First Vision. (See Joseph Smith History chapter 1, verses 16-17.) I have prayed to know if this church is true, and the Lord sent the holy spirit to touch my soul when He answered me that it is indeed His gospel. (Moroni 10:4 in the Book of Mormon.) I am a Mormon because I love God, Jesus, and Christ's gospel with all my heart, and I know without a shadow of a doubt and with every fiber in my being that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true.

How I live my faith

I am currently living my faith by embarking on a eighteen month adventure to share the gospel with people in Russia. I have gladly paid thousands of dollars out of my own pocket and put college and numerous scholarships on hold to finance this opportunity to see miracles in the lives of others; I will formally offer volunteer service as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
