Hi I'm John

I'm a budding biologist, avid video gamer, missionary for the Lord, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into the church in the United States, what many would consider to be a standard Utah Mormon. Both my parents and their families are members, and I live in an area densely populated by members. I have three younger siblings who are all still in primary and secondary school. I am currently out serving the Lord on a two-year mission to Mexico, helping teach the gospel to those ready to hear it. When I get back, I will continue my schooling at BYU-Provo, aiming to receive a microbiology degree. I love reading, video games, spending time with family, skiing, and watching superhero movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a Mormon, but I am certainly glad that I am. It has given me so much peace, knowledge, and direction in my life. While many people my age are scrounging around aimlessly, I am serving others and helping the world become a better place by spreading the gospel. I know who God wants me to be, and by repenting of sins and relying on the power of Christ, I can become a better person and achieve my full potential. I also know that my life has purpose, and I can see others again that have died and be reunited with my family. I know that the gospel gives us light, life, and hope; and that we can truly become better people and succeed. I love this gospel, and it has given me so much that I am excited to give back by serving.

How I live my faith

I am currently living my faith by serving as a missionary of the Lord. I left everything that I was doing for two years so as to devote my time and energy to the service of God. While serving, I will be teaching the gospel, helping others, and building God's kingdom. I am so excited to serve and help others find the comfort in the gospel that I have discovered. I know that I can be a positive influence in the lives of others through the power of the priesthood and of God, so I am very excited to help others come unto Christ!

What is being a Mormon like?

I've found that being a Mormon is simply holding yourself to a high standard of morality in our life. We know that God expects the best, and as such we strive for it. Of course, we can't consistently achieve, but constantly working with Christ helps us to manage and become better. Show more Show less
