Hi I'm Mallory

I recently returned from a full-time mission in the Washington Spokane Mission!

About Me

I was born in Salt Lake City, but spent most of my life in Lehi, UT. I have an amazing mom and dad as well one younger brother who I would consider to be my best friend. I love to dance, sing, play tennis, and listen to music. Throughout high school, I loved to be involved. I was a member of student council, dance company, and captain of my tennis team. I enjoyed using all of these outlets as a way to serve others. I have been a member of the LDS church my entire life. My love for my Savior and His church has always been present, but my testimony has really become my own this past year. Last fall I moved to Logan, UT to attend Utah State University (you can consider me a third generation Aggie). I am an Elementary Education major. Currently I am serving as a missionary in the Washington Spokane Mission! I am blessed to be spending the next eighteen months of my life serving others and serving my Savior Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church. I have grown up in a Gospel setting and I thank my parents dearly for that. For a while, I thought I had the whole system down, but slowly I became lazy. I wasn't very good with my daily scripture study and soon it seemed that something was missing in my life. I was too comfortable where I was. When I moved out of my house and up to Utah State University, my whole perspective changed. In the times that I felt lonely or afraid, I always turned to my scriptures. I turned to church, I turned to prayer, I turned to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ! The light and clarity in my life returned as I constantly pressed forward in my faith of this Gospel. As followers of our brother Jesus Christ, we should always be on our toes. I know that Heavenly Father is aware of each and every one of us. He knows our doubts, our fears, our hopes, and He has a plan. His plan for you is completely unique to you and He only requires that you meet Him half way. When I decided to meet Him half way, I began to notice all of the blessings in my life. My love for my beloved Savior Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father has grown so strong that I will now be serving a mission for this church to bring others back into this light. I encourage all of you that are struggling, whether you feel broken or beaten down, to seek for the eternal love that Christ has for you. He suffered so that we would not feel alone and His Atonement will reach deeper than you ever feel. Come! And rejoice in this beautiful Gospel that will only ever bring you happiness! I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me, and they love everyone else just as much. I am a Mormon because Christ knows the way, He is the way, and through Him, I will always find happiness.

How I live my faith

One of the best ways to feel the love of our Savior Jesus Christ is to serve others. I'm so grateful for all the opportunities I've had to do so. Through my involvement in service, I've seen lives drastically changed. However, sometimes the best way to serve our fellow men is to just be a friend. I am always trying to be kind to everyone as the Savior would be. I recently held a leadership position in my young single adult ward that allowed me to love each of the women that I served will all my heart. I have also had the opportunity to teach a class of three-year-olds in the ward near my home. Children radiate the love of Christ and I am incredibly grateful for the experience of learning from them. On a daily basis I strive to live in accordance with the Gospel. For something that gives me so much light and happiness in my life, I strive to be an example and share this light with others. I can think of no better way to live my faith than to dedicate my life to the Lord's work.
