Hi I'm John Lahaderne

I grew up in the San Francisco area. I am married and we have six children and now live in Montana. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the LDS church and have been a member all my life. I am married and have lived in California and now live in Montana. We have six grown children. My father delivered sourdough french bread in San Francisco to restaurants and stores and my first jobs were also working in this industry. I attended college and worked all of my career for a famous package delivery company, FedEx. My hobbies are my family and taking care of them. Even though all our children are grown, we still focus on how we can teach, direct and help them. The things I enjoy most include service to those around me. My family, neighbors, friends and fellow citizens in my community. If I can be of benefit to any of these people, it strengthens all of us and makes where we live a better place.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is one of the greatest blessings in my life. It gives me direction and purpose. We have a living prophet to lead, guide and direct us. I find peace and happiness following its principles. Life can be tremendously hard and even cruel at times. No one is exempt from these hardships and trials but knowing that I have a loving Father in Heaven helps me move forward in tough times. I love my wife and family more than anything and know that I can be together with them through all eternity because of the steps I have taken as a member of the church. This is all possible thanks to my Savior, Jesus Christ, and through His atonement, we all can return and live with our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I have served in various jobs or "callings" as they are referred to. Callings are all about serving and helping other people. But in this process of helping others, I know that it has also benefited me and hopefully helped me become a better person. I have a group of people that I am assigned to visit each month, to check on their well being and to assist when needed and share with them a spiritual message. Along with these monthly visits, my current calling is to teach the younger children every Sunday who are 10 and 11 years old. I love teaching and being able to share my testimony with others.
