Hi I'm Rick

I was born in Utah but grew up in Texas and Oklahoma. I am a geologist and a surveyor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love history, so am very interested in genealogy. I enjoy being outdoors taking photographs of wildlife and the beauty of nature. But most of all I love being with my family. I take photos of headstones in many cemeteries and post them to various websites to aid people in searching out their ancestors.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a very fulfilling life. I feel a companionship with our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ, through the Holy Ghost. When I think about trying to live as Christ would, it puts my life here on this earth in perspective. I believe in a life after death and throughout that life, families can be together

How I live my faith

One of my most enjoyable experiences has been working and participating with the youth. I served in the scouting organization for over 25 years. Even while serving as a Bishop in one area, my most enjoyable time was spent participating with the young women and young men in their service projects, outings, and activities. I think I may have learned more from them than they did from me.
