Hi I'm Rick

I am a mechanical designer within the oil industry. My wife and I have been called to serve a mission for the Mormon church.

About Me

My experience as a mechanical designer led me to a career in the oil industry. I am an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint and my wife and I have been called to serve as missionaries as mission office specialists. I served my first mission in England. I love working with my hands, building things and remodeling. I have 4 grandchildren who are the joy of my life and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church but was not always a participant. At the age of 18, I had deep stirrings in my heart which led me to a desire to learn of Jesus Christ. I tested several different religions even while attending again the church of my youth. Eventually I came to know through reading the Book of Mormon, prayer and fasting that I didn't need to look to any other source. I have been in the right place all of my life and did not know it. I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of the divinity of Jesus Christ and that He restored His church to the earth in these latter days.

How I live my faith

I have actively participated in the community and in my church. Presently I teach 9-10 year olds on Sunday's and am also a Cub Scout den leader. I have served several missions for the Church including full-time in England, part-time as a tour guide on Temple Square in Salt Lake City and several times in my local congregation. After hurricane Katrina devastated many areas of Lousianna, I volunteered several days to help with the cleanup effort. I have participated in Junior Achievement and Habitat for Humanities projects. I love life and serving others.
