Hi I'm Sonia Billadeau

I'm native from Chicago. I am a BYU-Idaho graduate. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from BYU-Idaho with a degree in English and Visual Communications. I enjoy reading, writing, and editing; I am not the best at it, but practice and more practice is always good. I am currently a freelance writer and I am starting to think I am in the right field. I love it. I enjoy all kinds of entertainment: movies, music, TV Shows, and literature; and when they are uplifting, I am satisfied. I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My mom began taking the missionary lessons when I was five. I am happily married and love my husband with all of my heart. I know I am blessed by the Lord because of the tools He has given me and the people He has put in my life. "And, inasmuch as they are faithful, I will multiply blessings upon them and their seed after them, even a multiplicity of blessing." D&C 104:33

Why I am a Mormon

In high school, things were getting difficult. At times, I did not feel close to the Savior or God; I tried my best to stay positive and keep love in my heart. Being in band gave me an open door to feel what I needed. I played hymns on my clarinet and I felt the warmth of God. Then one day, I played the song "How a Firm a Foundation" and I couldn't play the whole song because I was crying. The third verse states, "Fear not, I am with thee; oh, be not dismayed, For I am thy God and will still give thee aid. I'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand, Upheld by my righteous, omnipotent hand." I knew then I was not alone and that the Lord will always be with me, through the rough and good times. I am a Latter-day Saint because I understand that this gospel will give me the positive outlook on life and to keep love in my heart.

How I live my faith

I work on church lessons and help plan activities for women in the church; hardworking mothers and career driven women need some fun time once in a while. I gladly participate in church talent shows and give my full support to hosts of activities. My husband and I always try to make time for service opportunities such as cleaning church buildings and helping families move in or out of the area.
