Hi I'm Tawsi

I have grown up in Arizona. I am the youngest of 8 and an auntie. I am a college athlete and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 8 kids but just by a minute (I have a twin brother). There's 2 girls and 6 boys. My sister and I are the bookends of the family only 21 years apart (I know, big gap). With two fantastic parents! I grew up with mostly boys so they taught me the right way to punch and how to play lots of sports! Now I love sports and competition. I grew up playing soccer from lots of rec, to club (3 years) and Jr. High, to High School, and then to college. I played basketball in Jr. High but had to choose between soccer and basketball in High School. I also did track and field in High School running short sprints, 4x100m, long jump, triple jump, and high jump making it to state in some of these events! In all, I like to play all sports especially with my brothers. I also love music. I have taken choir, piano, guitar, and percussion and have attempted to play the ukulele, trombone, clarinet, violin, accordion, and harmonica. However, I am not very good at any of them, but I like to think that I am. In my spare time I like to play games with my family, be with friends, cross stitch, draw, and on occasion dance around in my room(sometimes with my nieces). I just love to have fun!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon. All my life, I have gone to church and strive to follow the commandments. My parents never really forced my to go, I wanted to go! I love this church! Everything makes sense. I have felt the Holy Ghost and know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true and everlasting gospel. If I know this for myself, wouldn't it be a greater sin to deny it? Being a Mormon has filled my life with joy. I know not everything is perfect and I go through hard trials but by being a part of this Church I know why I'm here. I strive to live the best I know to fulfill my purpose here on earth, to someday return to my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

On a daily basis, I live my faith by holding true to my standards everywhere I go. I choose to dress modestly at school, at home, at church, at work, in sports, and swimming. I do not use fowl language even when I'm angry or frustrated. I choose to keep the Sabbath day holy and go to church. Playing sports all my life there have been times where I have had games on Sunday. When that happened, my coaches always asked several times if I would play on Sunday. My answer was always 'no'. Even if it was the championship game. I made a commitment to God that I wouldn't play on Sundays. My parents never made me, in fact they always told me that it was my decision and whatever choice I made, they would support me in it. Now I will be going on a mission to help others come to Christ and further live my faith.
