Hi I'm Riley Christensen

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to Bountiful, Utah when I was 10 years old. I love to smile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second of five children in my family. They are my best friends. I have grown up watching, playing, and just loving sports. I love flowers and hope to one day own a shop of my own. Ever since I was a little girl I have dreamed of becoming a wife and mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a member of His church. When it became time for me to move away from home and rely on my own testimony I had made some choices that I didn't want to face that slowly led me away from church and the happiness it brought me. I always planned to go back but wasn't doing anything to make that happen. I found myself engaged and in a relationship I knew wouldn't work. After months of heartache and emotional abuse I hit rock bottom. I called off the engagement and moved back home across the country. One day I was overwhelmed with a small problem and had no one to turn to. I knelt down and pored my heart out to my Heavenly Father. I opened up to him about problems that I felt I should be able to deal with on my own. I felt His love so strongly that day. I felt peace. I came to realize that our Savior and Redeemer felt every type of sorrow and heartache as well as every sin and He wanted us to rely on Him no matter how small it may seem to us. I slowly started putting the pieces of my life back together. I went to church weekly, read my scriptures daily, and put more focus on the Lords plan for my life. I have found as I listen to the words of living prophets and apostles on the earth today I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Gods true church on the earth today. I know that as I read the Book of Mormon and feel the spirit testify of its truth that Joseph Smith was indeed called of God to restore His church to the earth today. I know that Jesus is the Christ, the immortal Son of God. He died for me and He lives for me and each one of us. God loves us. He knows us. He wants us to return to Him and live with our families forever. I know by trying our very best to do all that he asks of us we can do just that.

How I live my faith

I teach the 3-4 year olds every Sunday. Really, they teach me. I visit teach with another woman to four ladies that live around us at least once every month. We see how they are doing in home life, work, school and whatever other activities they are doing. We try to offer help and comfort to each other. I have developed some great friends through these visits.
