Hi I'm Emily

I grew up in California. I'm an English major at Brigham Young University Idaho. I want to write novels. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always been the performing arts type of person. I love to sing. I was in choir in school from fourth grade to my senior year. I took dance lessons in tap, jazz, and ballet for thirteen years. I participated in drama my last two years of high school, and I was involved in several musical theater productions. From a young age, I got into reading, and my favorite series is Harry Potter. My love of reading led to a love of writing, and I have begun a few novels of my own. As my favorite genre to read is fantasy fiction, that is what I like to write. I hope to be able to put my books on the market someday and to raise my family at home.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that this is the true church on the earth today. God chose a young fourteen-year-old boy to restore His true gospel. I believe that Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ and that he correctly translated the Book of Mormon. I believe that the Book of Mormon is a true account of the people who lived in the Americas at the time of Jesus Christ, that it is another testament of Him. I believe these things because I have prayed about them and feel that they are true. Whenever I read the Book of Mormon, I know that it's true. I feel it in my heart, a firm confirmation from the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I do not currently have a calling as I'm waiting to go on a mission, but I have held several different callings in the past such as a teacher, a music chorister, and Family Home Evening group leader. Besides that, I have fulfilled the responsibility of visiting other sisters in the ward and reaching out to them when they need help.
