Hi I'm Andy Burrell

I grew up in Bellevue Washington, USA. I went to BYU-Idaho. I'm a Missionary for the Church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, My name is Andy, and I've been a Mormon since I was a child. I grew up in the church, my dad is a convert, and serving my mission in Fort Collins Colorado currently. I've been interested in many different hobbies, such as computer programming, writing, directing and filming short films, accounting, and most recently, astronomy. I've gone to BYU-Idaho for two semesters, and plan on returning there or attending the Provo campus instead. I plan on majoring in physics with an emphasis in astronomy. I love hiking, camping, playing basketball and really all sports. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family more than anything, they are the people that bring me the most amount of happiness!

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church, which kind of helped me go and believe without ever requiring me to gain my own testimony. Recently though, as I was going to school at BYU-Idaho, I found myself going through many experiences that built a testimony for myself. It wasn't a big thing for me, just a lot of small acts that led to me feeling converted to the gospel. I love having the opportunity to share these experiences with people on my mission, and helping them come to know for themselves that this gospel is true, and that the Book of Mormon is true. The Holy Ghost is real, and is the real converter, and I am so grateful to feel of his presence in my life!

How I live my faith

Right now I am a missionary for the church. I was a ward missionary in my home ward. I was previously, in my school ward, the Sunday school 1st counselor. I've served in all positions of quorums while growing up in the youth. I've been the counselors and presidents for deacons, teachers, and priests. It has really been great for me, serving God in many different callings and places, as these are the moments where I feel greatly stretched. God challenges us truly to make us into stronger people, and I have a strong testimony of that fact!
