Hi I'm Scarlett

I love music, ice cream, and wearing dark colors. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My story began in south Texas, but this current chapter is in Arkansas. Here I attend Arkansas Tech University and am majoring in Psychology. Despite my major I intend to become a high school math teacher. I believe that having a psychology background will help me to understand my students and help them learn in a way that best suits their needs. Also the human mind is amazing. I'm most likely listening to music or humming a tune anytime you see me. Singing may not be one of my talents, but be ready to hear me go all out if the right song comes on. I mostly keep to myself and stay indoors, but with the right crowd i'm up for almost anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the Lord let me know that he's there and that I was in the right place. I was raised Mormon but found myself agreeing with a more agnostic perspective once I was old enough to really consider my beliefs. After some confusion and making my fair share of mistakes, I decided to make one last attempt to accept the gospel and got my patriarchal blessing. This decision was a turning point in my life. I quieted every doubt I had and sincerely asked God if he would let me know that he's there. Throughout the blessing not only were my doubts quiet, but they were erased. He blessed me with the understanding that He IS there and that the church IS true. I'm a Mormon because i can no longer deny God's presence or the truth of His church. He answered my prayer and there's no turning back now. He's blessed my life and helped me immensely since that day. I still have hard times and many struggles, but now i know that I'm not alone...and I never have been. I'm a Mormon because i know the truth now; that God loves me...and i love him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by continuing to grow daily. I'm a bit newer to the lifestyle than I should be and everyday proves to be an uphill battle. But remembering what my beliefs are and why I believe them, helps keep my on the right track. Along with attending every church activity that i can get my hands on. Family Home Evening, institute, and Sunday church meetings are great places to learn the gospel and feel the spirit. Every little experience caries you oh so much further, and spending time with people who share your standards and beliefs facilitate them in the best way.
