Hi I'm Fernando

I grew up in Mexico. I came to the US when I was fourteen years old. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Mexico. I'm currently preparing myself to go on a mission; I do this full time since I'm going to report on the mission field on a couple of weeks. I will be serving in the California San Fernando mission. I go out a lot with other missionaries and we share the gospel with people in the streets. My favorite hobby is playing the guitar. I love sports such as wrestling and soccer. I'm interested in learning new languages and study engineering. Sharing your testimony outside or inside of the church can affect others' lives just like it has affected me and I know that my testimony has affected someone else's live too. Share your testimony and listen to other people's testimonies. Love others just like Jesus Christ did.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom was a convert and we started going to the church when I was about four years old. My mom was catholic before, but she heard about the gospel and she heard the lessons of the missionaries. I'm so thankful that my mom made the choice to follow Jesus Christ because I grew up in the church and I was a happy kid. I got baptized on my eighth birthday and it was my decision. I see other teenagers that are my age and they're drinking, smoking even doing drugs, and I think that I would probably be one of them if I didn't have the gospel in my life. Growing up in the church has taught me that we can return to Our Heavenly Father and that families are forever. I know that Jesus Christ loves us all and all He wants is our happiness. I know that this the true church of Jesus Christ here on earth and that Joseph Smith was a chosen prophet of God and that he restored His gospel here on earth. I know that the Book Of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I'm a branch missionary which means that I go out with missionaries to the share the gospel. We visit the less active members, we talk to people in the streets, we simply serve others by helping them do activities that they can't do on their own or we help them by making their faith in Jesus Christ stronger. Reading the scriptures helps increase my faith. It also helps to realize that there are things that I need to improve on and to be more like Christ. I know that Jesus Christ has a plan for me, I know that I have a purpose in life. Prayer is essential in this life; communication with Our Heavenly Father is the most amazing thing we can do to ask for guidance. God answers our prayers.
