Hi I'm Dennis Riddle

I live in West Jordan, Utah. I am now retired as financial specialist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of five children and twelve grandchildren. I am married and love my family very much. We do things as a family frequently. My wife and I are empty nesters. We enjoy our retirement together. We like to walk and spend time outdoors. My favorite pass time is gardening, taking care of my yard, reading, and watching a good sporting event. I am a retired Army Reserve NCO.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in the Mormon Church. I have always been active in it. I was a full time missionary in the England East area for two years between 1967-1969. I graduated for the Church seminary program. It was while I was studying in the Book of Mormon class in seminary that I gained a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a true conviction of that the Book of Mormon that it is the word of God along with the Bible. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World. He atoned for my sins. He loves me. I know that he lives. The Gospel of Jesus Christ gives me hope. I know why I am here, and where I am going because the Holy Ghost has testified to me that it is true. The Church puts great emphasis on the family. The family is important to me. The Church answers my questions that allows me to return to be with our Heavenly Father in the eternities. I know that we are living in the latter days when the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth. There is a living prophet on the earth who leads and guides us in this troubled world.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have been involved in scouting. I sing in our ward choir. I currently am a stake financial clerk. I teach the my ward High Priest group lesson once a month, I enjoy sharing the Gospel the of Jesus Christ. Over the past years I have been a stake missionary, ward missionary leader. I enjoy working with people as a home teacher and providing service in my ward members and those in my neighborhood. Next month my wife and I are going on a senior couple mission to the Washington D.C. area for 18 months. We will be working with the military chaplains and providing support to the LDS Church personnel at the joint Andrews Military Installation.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Dennis Riddle
The Book of Mormon is a second witness of Jesus Christ. It testifies of Jesus Christ just as it does in the Bible. Both books go hand in hand Show more Show less
