Hi I'm Katelyn

I'm currently serving in the Texas Fort Worth Mission, I love being happy, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and have lived most of my life in Northern Utah. I love life and everything that comes with it, good & bad. I love to travel and experience anything authentic. I love meeting people and think every person on this earth is so important, and beautiful in their own way. I love art in any form. Making it, and experiencing it. (Anything from photography to painting to poetry and music) I'm an artist at heart and I feel like I've been blessed with a different way of viewing things because of that. I love the mountains and the outdoors with my whole soul. Camping, hiking, climbing, kayaking, running, anything outdoors. I live in the most beautiful place and I am so lucky to be able to spend time in nature whenever I want! The earth and all it's creations fill me with so much joy & the knowledge that our Heavenly Father truly exists and loves us.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to the Mormon church, and that I am eternally grateful for. I can only hope that had I not been, I still would've found the church. It's made me who I am today and I would be so lost without it. My ancestors were Mormon Pioneers. They lived in Nauvoo, helped build the temple, and were eventually driven from their home as their beloved temple was burned to the ground. They continued on to the west, travelling as single mothers, children, and facing every sort of hardship. For me, going on a mission is just one small way I can thank them, and my Savior Jesus Christ, for their sacrifices somehow carry on the blessings I have received from living the gospel to my brothers and sisters in Texas. I am a Mormon because it's the only true way to happiness here and in the life to come. (:

How I live my faith

Living my faith is something I've found so rewarding. I strive to love each person I meet, reach out to those who are struggling, and serve everyone. I'm currently living my faith by serving an 18 month mission! I'm serving in the Texas Fort Worth Mission, speaking Spanish. I love being a missionary and the opportunity that I have to share the joy of the gospel with the Hispanic people here in Texas. I chose to serve a mission because there is nothing more sure and true in my life than the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has blessed me so much, how can I NOT share it with others?! So that's why I'm here, and although it's hard sometimes, that's what keeps me going. Knowing that I can change people's lives and make it possible for them to be with their families for all eternity.
