Hi I'm Malia

I am a BYU college student. I am Laffy Taffy joke fanatic, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Malia. Currently, I am a BYU college student, trying to figure out this life/survival thing. I am studying Communications Disorders to eventually become a speech pathologist. I have a passion for music, specifically the piano, organ, and singing. I also love cross country running, hiking, and snowboarding. Random hobby: Doing the Maori Poi Balls (I come from the New Zealand Maori tribe). One of my favorite jokes is "What happens when you tell a duck a joke? It quacks up!"

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon for my whole life, but my conversion to the church began when I was twelve years old. I was challenged to read from the Book of Mormon everyday. Being the stubborn person I am, I had to take the challenge. I have never regretted that choice since. My days became full of purpose, though trials did come. I became closer to Christ and had the opportunity to feel of His healing and peace. Christ became like my piano. When I play the piano, I feel like it understands me completely, every emotion, every experience, my happiness, my tears, my everything; Christ understands my everything and will strengthen me through this fascinating journey that we call life. I am a Mormon, because nothing brings more peace, joy, and satisfaction into my life than coming to Christ through His restored Gospel on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I play the organ in church. I may not be the best at it, but I'm definitely trying! One time, I accidentally turned on the trumpets in the middle of a song... let's just say, everyone was wide awake after that! I also had the opportunity to teach the young single adults (my peers at college) gospel doctrines.
