Hi I'm Catherine Woodwell

I am a video taker. Ice cream enthusiast. Memory maker. Awkward dancer. Culture lover. But most importantly, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am an avid creator, whether it be: music, videos, food, and art. I love Icelandic music and love Bollywood/Bhangra dancing. My personality can be easy described in 3 words: loud, quiet, and independent. I am quite the contradiction. I am shy but love talking. Love to laugh but am not funny. Life is too hard to settle with mediocrity so I intent on making everyday interesting.

Why I am a Mormon

Life sounds so good on paper: we learn of love, joy, and ourselves. Unfortunately, the reality of life isn't as peachy. We all experience pain, suffering, disappointment, tragedy, devastation, heartbreak, and all other symptoms of life. I struggled for a while trying to understand why these things happen and how one is suppose to get through it all. It wasn't until I was introduced to Jesus Christ that it all clicked. Someone knows and more importantly, someone cares. He has suffered our battles and has endured our heartbreaks. He wants to help us in our pursuit to do the same. No matter who you are or what you've done, you are worth it to Him. I have never smiled brighter or loved more than I do because of that knowledge. I know that I was purposefully placed in my circumstances and I intended to hear the story of those that come into my life and share mine when appropriate. I know that families aren't meant to be separated after death. Nothing is more important than the family and I know that there is a loving God who is waiting for our return. I am a Mormon because these truths fill my lungs with air. I am a Mormon because life is too short not to be happy and share it with the people we love the most.

How I live my faith

Everyday is a gift. I know that sounds incredibly clique but take a deep breath because it is. The one thing this life promises us is consistent change and uncertainty. Waking up each morning is something worth celebrating and I make it a priority to thank God for allowing me another day. Another opportunity to learn, smile, and love. I try everyday to dedicate my life toward God and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm on the journey to becoming a better shoulder to cry on, brighter light to other around me, stronger supporter of family and friends, and a better follower of Christ.
