Hi I'm Samantha

I am from Utah. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up LDS and in Utah, I guess you could say that I am just your typical Utah girl. I love watching and playing all sports. I enjoy doing anything outside; whether it be running, hiking, skiing, boating, swimming, and camping. I especially love doing these things with my family and friends. I am currently going to college and I still have no idea what I want to study. I am called to serve in the Brazil Florianópolis Mission and I report to the MTC July 15th.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it makes sense; there has to be something more, it can't just be this and then we are done. There had to be a plan, there is no way that the universe just came out of anything as organized and precise as it is. I am a Mormon because I have learned for myself, by constantly keeping God's commandments and by sincerely asking Him, that this is good and true. This gospel provides me hope, guidance, and comfort and the opportunity to become better. I have felt God's love for myself and for everybody around me, He is here, He lives. He has saved us all and made it possible for all of us to live again and to be with our families together. I am a Mormon. "I know it, I live it, and I love it" and I invite everybody to read the Book of Mormon and learn for themselves whether this is truly the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have been active in the LDS church my entire life. I received my first calling when I was 12 years old as a member of the youth presidency and as the youth pianist. I have done multiple service activities with my church such as, making meals for those in my neighborhood, sewing blankets to give to hospitals, and caroling at Senior Citizen Centers. I currently am a member of a YSA ward at my university and am a Family History Consultant and Teacher in it. Later this summer, I am going to be serving a year and a half mission in Brazil.
