Hi I'm Chris Tatton

I grew up in Salt Lake City, served a full-time mission in Porto Alegre, Brazil. I love sports, the outdoors and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hi, my name is Chris! I served a full-time mission in Porto Alegre, Brazil and I love the Brazilian people! I'm currently studying accounting at the University of Utah. I love football, baseball, mountain biking, fly fishing, gaming, long boarding and just about anything fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I don't consider myself as much of a "Mormon" as I consider myself a "truth-seeker". What I mean by that, is that I love learning, and have always had the desire to know the truth of every big question in life. Because of many small but significant experiences in my life, I have come to know that this is that path that God wants me to follow. And it is the path that will lead me back to Him. And it is only within the teachings and doctrine of the LDS church that my spiritual hunger is satisfied. I have learned for myself and from God through careful study, prayer, and personal experience, that only the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings lasting happiness and peace. I also believe strongly that there is much good and truth in the world in many places. As the 13th article of faith states, "If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things." I strongly believe that this is the original church of Jesus Christ restored again upon the earth. I know that God lives. He is willing to hear and answer our prayers if we are willing to ask, listen, and follow His answers.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a force for good wherever I am! My current church calling is as a ward missionary, so I help with the missionary efforts in our ward by organizing church/community activities and visiting members and nonmembers in my neighborhood. I love teaching and talking about the gospel and try to take advantage of every opportunity I get to do so!
