Hi I'm Bracken

I am a biomedical sciences graduate student at the University of Central Florida. I am finding a cure for malaria. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a graduate student working on finding new cures for malaria. I am happily married to the most beautiful wife, and we have four active and healthy children. As a family we enjoy going to the science center, the beach and seaworld in between soccer, karate, gymnastics and tumbling. I also love to read and watch movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and have prayed to know if it is true. I have received a witness from the Holy Spirit that it is true and that this book is an additional witness to the world testifying that Jesus is the Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, our Hope. I am not perfect, but I have great joy in knowing that, like Paul, I can do all things through Christ. I am grateful for the joy in my life that this brings and for the opportunity I have to share that joy with any who will listen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by working as the Mission leader. I strive to lead the missionary efforts by example in talking with others around me about my faith and inviting them to know more. I enjoying working with the missionaries in finding and teaching any who want to know more about the church or are looking to bring themselves closer to our Heavenly Father.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

In a word: Guidance. It has been said that If you want to talk with God, Pray. If you want God to talk to you, Read the Scriptures. I know this is true. I have read the Bible and the Book of Mormon more than once. What I love about the scriptures is that I find new insights and guidance every time I read them. Show more Show less
