Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in Alberta, Canada. I'm serving a mission in Fort Worth, Texas. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm interested mainly in biology and music. For the last ten years I have been learning to play piano and learned to love it. I've also always enjoyed learning lots of new things in school and look forward to attending university after my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I continue to follow this church and its teachings because they have always provided a safe haven for me. Through attending church and studying the scriptures, including both the Book of Mormon and the Bible, I have learned many things such as how to love others, seek God's will, and have faith in Jesus Christ. The knowledge and faith that I have in the Gospel of Jesus Christ has comforted me when nothing else could and brought me happiness and success. Because of the Church and the Gospel I am free from many of the world's woes and can always find help for whatever I need.

How I live my faith

Every week I have committed to attend my local Mormon church. Through the church I have helped lead a small group of 16-18 year olds and also helped other members of my congregation learn how to discover more about their ancestors through the Church's family history program. Once a month I visited two families and discussed spiritual matters like faith in Christ with them. This is what we call home teaching. On August 19, 2015 I left home to teach others about our beliefs in the Fort Worth, Texas area.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Chris
We believe in the Bible because it was written by inspired prophets and gives an account of Jesus Christ's life as well as his influence in the times of prophets like Adam and Moses. The bible is absolutely essential to helping us fully understand what Christ did for us today as well as those in his own time. Overall, it assists the Book of Mormon in helping us to see a much fuller perspective of eternity than we could otherwise. Show more Show less
