Hi I'm Eve

I grew up in Utah. I am an avid reader and musician. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing the violin and trying to learn other instruments such as the mandolin and viola. I sing all the time; it helps me keep a clear head and have a good attitude. I have two younger sisters whom I enjoy spending time with. Reading is one of my passions - I don't remember a time when I wasn't reading. I am interested in pop culture and reference Harry Potter and shows like Doctor Who in my day-to-day activities. I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking or camping. I am always up for adventure.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in this church, but I wasn't truly converted until middle school. I used to just float by. I did the right things because I was told to and had no desire to disobey, but in middle school, I had to make the choice of what kind of people I was going to spend time with and be influenced by. Ultimately, what helped me make my decision was the people who helped me to feel the spirit when I was around them. That feeling of joy and love was so strong and it hasn't left me since. I can't help but want to share this joy with everyone. The more I strive to follow the commandments and to grow closer to my Heavenly Father, the more I can feel His love for me and for all of his children, and I can feel His blessings pouring down on me.

How I live my faith

I was a youth leader in several different positions through ages 12 to 18 for the youth group in my ward. I have been the section leader for the first and second violin sections respectively during my high school years. I was an active member of the Choir Council during my Senior Year of high school and was placed in charge of the costumes and performance attire for the choir department. I participated in a community production of Handel's "Messiah", playing the violin. I assist in organizing monthly activities for the women's group in my ward. I strive to teach by example and live as Jesus lived. I also try to take advantage of every opportunity I have to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
