Hi I'm Sister Chiang

I grew up in Hong Kong. I have just graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. I like music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

This is Sister Chiang, a 22-year-old young lady coming from Hong Kong. I have just finished the 4-year university programme on English and English Language Education in Hong Kong. Therefore, I would like to become an English teacher, which is my initial dream, after serving at the California Oakland / San Francisco mission from Jun 2015 to Dec 2016. For my family, my grandparents are the pioneers among the church members in Hong Kong, who got baptized in 1960. Although they have gone, I love them very much. Now, my family includes my parents, my elder brother and me. Both my parents are returned missionaries, who served in the China Hong Kong Mission more than 30 years ago. My father is an insurance agent and my mother is a housewife and a piano teacher. My elder brother, who is 2.5 years older than me, has just left the Provo MTC and is now serving in the Utah Ogden Mission. He is a graduate of the BBA Program in Insurance, Financial and Actuarial Analysis in Hong Kong. He is smart and is always kind to me, so I admire and love him very much. Of course, I also love my parents very much☺ I love music, especially singing and playing the piano. I am also interested in sports, especially playing table tennis and woodball. I like cooking desserts and eating different kinds of food. Meanwhile, attending balls is one of my favorites though I am not good at dancing.

Why I am a Mormon

Gospel, is a way of living. When learning the gospel at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I can see the whole picture of what gospel is. I feel the love from God, as well as Jesus Christ. I am going to be a full-time missionary soon. I want to serve a mission because I want all people to know the gospel and let them feel the love from God. Knowing the purpose of life is important to everyone and I hope everyone could live with a purpose and gain the happiness of life. With great joy I humbly testify our Heavenly Father loves us, Jesus is the Christ, Joseph Smith restored the fullness of the everlasting gospel, and the Book of Mormon testifies of these truths. We are led by a living prophet today. Of these I testify in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

My grandparents are the pioneers among the church members in Hong Kong, who got baptized in 1960. Thus, I started learning the gospel since I was a baby, and got baptised when I was eight. I love the gospel since it always brings me happiness and hope. I have some callings, like the First Councilor of the China Hong Kong Stake Young Women Presidency (which mainly serves the girls aged 12-18), as well as a visiting teacher in my own ward. I like organising events for the church, especially for the youth, as they always enjoy participating in the activities together and there is so much fun. Serving others is so meaningful and it brings me so much happiness in my life.
