Hi I'm CJ Christiansen

I'm a worker, a brother, a son, and a missionary. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I come from a big family and love spending time with them. I love spending time with friends and doing all sorts of things with them. I spend most of my time outside snowboarding, fishing, running, playing various sports, long boarding, making longboards with friends/family, and working with my dad. Oh yeah, I'm also serving a mission, so that's pretty cool.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I never really had my own testimony. I went through the motions and went to church because that's where my family was. For a while, I didn't know why I was at church or why bad things kept happening to my family. One night, being almost angry with God, I prayed sincerely for the first time in years. It was more of a rant than a prayer. After I had finished, I received a witness that He is there and loves each and every one of us. I'm glad that I've had all of my trials in life, because they've made me into the person I am today. It hasn't always been easy, but my dad taught me something important. He said "God has something really important for you to do, otherwise He wouldn't have given you all of these trials to make you stronger."

How I live my faith

I was called to serve a mission in Londrina, Brazil in October of 2014. My visa papers were delayed and so the first half of my mission is in the Rancho Cucamonga, California mission. I never thought it would be this difficult to live as a representative of our savior all the time. It hasn't necessarily been easy to be a missionary, but it has helped me to understand what it truly means to "live your faith". I know what it takes to serve as His disciple, and strive to do that every day.
